24.18 CT CERTIFIED MADAGASCAR PINK SAPPHIRE GEMSTONE
Simply a breathtaking gemstone. Madagascar sapphires are exceptional for other reasons as well. First, these particular sapphires showcase supreme quality and size. High-quality, giant gems are rare to find (especially in the amount found in Madagascar). Lastly, several color variations have been found on the island.
Pink is one of the rarest sapphire colors, caused by chromium trace elements inside the corundum crystal. The deeper the pink, the more chromium is present. Red corundum, however, is called ruby, another gem variety of the same mineral.
Notably, pure pink sapphires with spectacular pink hues are rare, so a 3-4-carat sample is already considered significant. Vivid red-pink stones are often valued above their blue, high-quality gem-quality counterparts. The price of large untreated specimens of this hue reaches tens of thousands of dollars for one carat. Access to such samples is usually closed. We are offered these gems only because of our close partner in Sri Lanka, a dealer-conductor to the market of large-size sapphires. Our company has such access and can select sapphires of any color with excellent investment potential. This is an investment-grade jewel.
